Taxi Marshal Scheme “'Grabbacab' has been running in the town centre for two years. Four Centre Circle marshals regularly supervise up to 600 people per night in to taxis to ensure that they get home safely.
Regulars know the marshals by name, and the marshals have an excellent rapport with the queues of people. This all helps to diffuse disorder after a night out on the town.
Recently the marshals have been equipped with head cameras which have proved extremely useful to obtain evidence when incidents occur.
The marshals are mature, professional and good humoured. They are fast becoming an established part of the night time community in Dartford.
